Removing the airbag sensor on the front door

WARNING: Airbag unit. Danger! Life-threatening injuries!

Before performing any work on the airbag, always disconnect the battery earth lead from the battery.
Airbag unit may only be set down with the cushion (airbag itself) facing upwards.

Preliminary works

Deactivate the 48 v ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
Disconnect all battery EARTH LEADS .
Remove the mirror triangle COVER .
Remove the door handle COVER .
Remove front door TRIM PANEL .

Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Unlock the latch mechanism (2).
Turn airbag sensor (3) in the direction of arrow and remove.
