Installing servomotor for the eccentric shaft

Improper routing of cables and wiring harnesses.
Trapped, crushed or damaged cables may cause short circuits and malfunctions.

- Route all cables without abrasions, do not trap and crush.
- Replace seal (1).

- Press the seal (1) up to the limit position on the housing.
- Grease gearing (1) of the servomotor for eccentric shaft (2) in the marked
area.

Cartridge83192160340 - Insert the servomotor (1) to the gearing on the cylinder head.
- Turn the drive shaft of the servomotor (1) in the direction of the arrow with a standard tool (2) until the servomotor (1) is flush with the cylinder head.
- Tighten down screws (1).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Electrical servomotor to cylinder head M6 Tightening torque 8 Nm - Connect connectors (1) and lock.
The connector (1) must engage audibly.
- Insert and install the holder (5).
- Tighten down screws (4).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Manifold bracket for intake air at cylinder head M6x16 Tightening torque 8 Nm - Guide in and install wiring harness section (3) for sensor system 2.
- Feed in and install coolant line (2).
- Connect and lock the clamps (1).
- Make sure the clamps (1) engage audibly.
- Insert and install the tank vent line (1).
The locks (arrows) must engage audibly.
- Insert and install the tank vent line (2).
- Make sure that you can hear the locks (arrows) engage.
- Secure the tank vent line (2) to the clamp (3).
- Tighten down screw (1).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Tank vent line to intake plenum Oval-head screw Tightening torque 3 Nm - Feed in and install the wiring harness section (1) for sensor system 2.
- Make sure that you can hear the locks (arrows) engage.
