Checking roof aerial housing for tightness
- Make a soap solution from soap and water (e.g. washing-up liquid).
- Close all windows, doors and lids.
- Set heater blower to highest level.
Start the engine if necessary.
- Spray soap solution into the joint (1).
Check
- Watch the joint while an auxiliary person opens the front door and closes it forcefully.
- Repeat procedure several times.
Result
» Soap bubbles are visible in the joint.
Measure
- Disassemble the roof aerial housing and bond it again.
