Tension the coil spring
NOTE:
Schematic diagram is for example purposes. Some parts may differ in certain details.
- Clean coil spring to remove heavy contamination.
- Pick up the spring strut shock absorber (1) by the coil spring with the special tool 2 318 833.
- Make sure that the coils of the coil spring are completely placed into the recesses of the special tool 2 318 833.
- Tension the coil spring until dimension (B) is reached at the special tool 0 493 556 (31 3 341).
Dimension (B) = 95 mm
- It is essential to ensure that the dimension does not fall below dimension
(B).
