Securing the universal joint on the steering gear
NOTE:
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
The universal joint can be mounted only in one position.
The universal joint and the steering gear or the steering shaft at the bottom are encoded to one another.
The clamping bolt must be positioned in the groove of the steering gear or the steering shaft.

- Clean any residue of the screw locking agent on the screw thread.
- Slide the universal joint through the front subframe onto the steering gear from the back.
- Replace the screw (1).

- Tighten down screw (1).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION

Recut screw thread.
Replace clamping bolt.
No retorque permitted!tightening torque 28 Nm
