Relieve tension on coil spring

NOTE: Schematic diagram is for example purposes. Some parts may differ in certain details.

Release coil spring using special tool 0 493 556 (31 3 341).
Make sure that the coil spring ends on the top and bottom are resting flat against the spring pad.

Non-compliance will result in a significant impairment of handling.

It is imperative that the laser beam points to the specified mark on the special tool 2 450 246 after the coil spring has been released.
Remove special tool 2 450 246 and laser along with the securing tool.
