- Check the protective insert for wear or damage and if necessary, replace the protective inserts.
- Clamp special tool 0 493 556 (31 3 341) in vice.
- Attach the special tool 2 318 833 from the top to the special tool 0 493 556 (31 3 341) until you can her and feel the retaining bolts engage.
- Check position of the special tool 2 318 833 and correct if necessary.
Prepare pressure plates
- Mount the special tool 2 359 293
to the special tool 2 318 833
.
Prepare special tool 2 318 833 2 x and always use with the protective insert!
- Set special tool 0 493 556 (31 3 341) to dimension A. Equipment specification
- Basis and M P A utomobile: Dimension A = 160 - 178 mm
- Sport: Dimension A = 140 mm
