Installing gasoline particulate filter
- Replace gasoline particulate filter (1).
Parts: Gasoline particulate filter
- Feed the gasoline particulate filter (1) in with the assistance of a second person and install it.
- Version 1 (Ribbon clamp)
Replace the (1) ribbon clamp.
Parts: Ribbon cable clamp
Tighten the ribbon clamp (1).
TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATIONExhaust system to catalytic converter Ribbon clamp nut M8
Replace the ribbon clamp.Tightening torque 26 Nm Ribbon clamp nut M10
Replace the ribbon clamp.Tightening torque 55 Nm - Version 2 (V-band clamp)
Replace V-band clamp.
Parts: V-band clamp
Unscrew the nut (1) and remove the sealing ring (2).
- Bend all sheet metal tabs over with a suitable tool, except those in the marked areas.
- Mount the V-clip (1) on the sealing ring (2).
- Make sure that the V-clip (1) is positioned correctly on the sealing ring (2).
- Make sure that, after mounting, the V-ribbon clip is on the sheet metal tabs (marks).
- Connect the exhaust system (1) with the catalytic converter (2) (arrow) and position correctly.
- Make sure that V-clip (1) is fitted correctly.
- Tighten down screw (2).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
V-ribbon clip to catalytic converter V-ribbon clip
Replace V-ribbon clip.Tightening torque 25 Nm - Replace nut (1).
Parts: Nut
- Tighten nut (1).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Front pipe/front silencer/gasoline particulate filter to the transmission holder M8 Replace nut. Tightening torque 19 Nm - Connect the gasoline particulate filter (3) with a gripper clamp (2) to the rear silencer (1).
- Center the gripper clamp (2) and tighten the nuts (4).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Clamp with partial replacement of exhaust system Clamp Tightening torque 45 Nm
Follow-up work
- Install the tunnel connecting SUPPORTS .
- When replacing the gasoline particulate filter: register the gasoline PARTICULATE FILTER .
