Remove the changeover valve for auxiliary heater

Conduct all work in the vehicle wearing appropriate personal protective equipment only.

WARNING: Motor vehicle may slip off the vehicle hoist where components are supported.
Danger! Life-threatening injuries!

Secure the vehicle hoist against lowering and lifting.

Preliminary works

Remove RESONATOR .
Remove front UNDERBODY PROTECTION/FRONT THRUST FIELD and/or front stiffening plate.
Remove the UNDERBODY PROTECTION of the steering gear and front stiffening plate respectively.
Remove the WHEEL .
Remove the front section of the front wheel arch COVER .
Remove the front lower wheel arch COVER .

Loosen screws (1) .
Release spring band clamp (2) and pull off coolant hose (3) .
Remove the changeover valve (4) .
