- Only operate the heating and air conditioning system with the specified microfilter.
Preliminary works
- Remove rear UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
- Remove the right FOOTWELL TRIM .
- Remove passenger compartment ventilation MICROFILTER .

Prerequisite
The vehicle is parked at a suitable washing station (cleaning agent run-off escapes through the drainage openings on the transmission tunnel).

- Note and follow the manufacturer safety information on containers.
- Conduct all work in appropriate personal protective equipment only.
- Fill the solvent cleaner for the air conditioning into the spray gun.

- Connect the special tool 2 411 757 to the spray gun.
- Build pressure in the spray gun.
- Close all the ventilation outlets.
- Set air conditioning to air recirculation function.
- Cover carpet in working area.
- Insert the special tool 2 411 757
into the rear opening of the microfilter housing (1) as shown.
- Position special tool 2 411 757 in lower limit position as shown.
- Move special tool 2 411 757 back and forth from lower to upper limit position (1).
- Keep moving the special tool 2 411 757 back and forth until the solvent cleaner has been fully sprayed.
- After cleaning, allow the vehicle to drip off for approx. 5 min.
Follow-up Work
- Install the interior ventilation MICROFILTER .
- Install the right footwell TRIM PANEL .
- Install rear underbody PROTECTION
