Removing PCU48
Preliminary work
- Deactivate the 48 v ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
- Disconnect all battery GROUND LEADS .
- Remove front right door sill COVER STRIP .
- Remove right footwell TRIM PANEL .
- Remove the right-hand a-pillar footwell side TRIM PANEL .
- Remove the acoustic COVER .
WARNING:
Hot surfaces.
Risk of burning!

- Perform all work only on components that have cooled down.
NOTE:
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Use commercially available pinch-off tools to pinch off the coolant hoses.

Collect and dispose of emerging fluids. Observe country-specific waste disposal regulations.

- Fold the carpet (1) back in arrow direction.
- Remove the shaped part (2).
- Loosen screws (1).
- Remove the cover (2).
- Unclip the cover (1).
- Unlock plug connection (2) and disconnect.
- Loosen the nuts (1) and feed out the associated lines.
- Loosen screws (3).
- Loosen screws (1).
- Press the coolant line (2) in arrow direction and attach it.
- Loosen screw (1).
- Release coolant connection (2).
- Unlock and release coolant hose (3).
- Unlock and release coolant hose (4).
- Unlock the coolant line (1) on the vehicle interior and release.
- Remove PCU48.
