Removing tie rod

Perform WHEEL ALIGNMENT after installation.

Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
Preliminary work
- Remove the WHEEL .
- Remove the UNDERBODY PROTECTION of the steering gear and thrust field respectively.
- Remove the TIE ROD END .
- Remove the steering gear BELLOWS .

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
To avoid damage to the steering shaft and its bearing, the rack must be positioned in the steering gear as far as possible.

- Release the tie rod from the steering shaft of the steering gear using special tool 0 496 483 (32 3 220) .
