Installing the airbag unit of the steering wheel or sports steering wheel
NOTE:
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
After replacing the airbag unit (M Sport steering wheel) or possibly converting the standard steering wheel and airbag unit on the M Sport steering wheel, a software update or a programing/coding via BMW'S ISTA must be performed.
After replacing the airbag unit (M Sport steering wheel) or possibly converting the standard steering wheel and airbag unit on the M Sport steering wheel, a software update or a programing/coding via BMW'S ISTA must be performed.
- Connect plug (1).
- Press the airbag unit (1) with even pressure in the direction of the arrow into the steering wheel.
The airbag unit must engage audibly and perceptibly.
Follow-up work
- Reconnect all battery GROUND LEADS .
- ACTIVATE the 48 v electrical system.
