Attaching the universal joint to steering gear
NOTE:
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
The universal joint can be mounted only in one position.
The universal joint and the steering gear or the steering shaft at the bottom are encoded to one another.
The clamping bolt must be positioned in the groove of the steering gear or the steering shaft.

- Clean the screw threads to remove all remnants of screw lock agent.
- Slide the universal joint (2) onto the steering gear.
- Replace the screw (1).
Parts: Screw
- Tighten down screw (1).
TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION

Follow-up work
- Install the THRUST FIELD .
- Install the UNDERBODY PROTECTION of the steering gear or the front thrust field.
- Check the steering wheel STRAIGHT-AHEAD DRIVING POSITION .
- CHECK the airbag for function.
