Remove the radial shaft seal for the output flange (all-wheel drive vehicle) (GA8HP75Z, GA8HP76Z, GA8HP75HZ, GA8HP95Z)
Preliminary work
- Deactivate the 48 v ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
- Disconnect all battery GROUND LEADS .
- Remove rear UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
- Remove the transmission side UNDERBODY PLANKING
- Remove the tunnel CONNECTING SUPPORT .
- If installed: remove the right and left TORSION STRUT where required.
- Remove transmission CROSS-MEMBER .
- Remove the HEAT SHIELDS .
- Remove the RETAINING PLATES
- Partially loosen the PROP SHAFT
- Remove the TRANSFER BOX (ATC 13-1).

- Use only the approved TRANSMISSION OIL .
- Check the transmission OIL LEVEL after completing the repair.

- Drive a hole into the radial shaft sealing ring (1) using a center punch.
- Screw in special tool 0 491 454 (23 0 490) .
- Drive out radial shaft seal (1) with impact weight.
