Installing the sealing sleeve for the transmission housing

• Make sure that the lug (1) of the sealing sleeve is not damaged during re-installation.

• Replace the sealing rings (1) of the sealing sleeves during re-installation.

• Lightly place the sealing sleeve (1) in arrow direction with the lug in the inner surface.
• Turn the sealing sleeve (1) until the lug is inserted in the groove of the transmission.
• Slide in sealing sleeve (1) up to the stop.

  The lug on the sealing sleeve (1) must not be damaged! 

• Remove the special tool 0 494 213 (24 2 390)  .

• Lock the slide (2).
• Position and tighten the screw (1).
• Replace screw.

  Mechatronics to transmission
  M6x59, M6x20 Replace screws.	Tightening torque	8 Nm

• Push on the connector (1) in arrow direction and lock it by turning.

Follow-up work 

• Install transmission CROSS MEMBER .
• Install the oil volume RESERVOIR  (GA8HP50Z, GA8HP51Z, GA8HP75Z, GA8HP76Z, GA8HP95Z).
• Install the transmission OIL PAN  (GA8HP50Z, GA8HP51Z, GA8HP75Z, GA8HP76Z).
• Reconnect all battery GROUND LEADS .
• Check/top up the automatic transmission OIL LEVEL .
• Install rear UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
• Install the transmission side UNDERBODY PLANKING .
• Activate the 48 v ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
