Unlocking the parking lock manually from the underbody (GA8HP50Z, GA8HP51Z, GA8HP75Z, GA8HP76Z, GA8HP75HZ, GA8HP95Z)
Preliminary work
- Remove rear UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
CAUTION:
Vehicle rolls away.
Injury hazard! Risk of damage!

- Secure the vehicle against rolling away before unlocking the parking lock.
NOTE:
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
In the event of an open circuit, e.g. discharged battery or electrical fault, the parking lock must be unlocked manually, otherwise the wheels will be blocked and the vehicle cannot be shifted .

- Raise vehicle.
- Remove underbody protection.
- Pull the journal (1) of the selector shaft with special tool 2 355 850 (3) downwards.
- Install special tool 2 355 850
(2) between journal (1) and the transmission housing.
» The parking lock is unlocked.
- Pull the journal (1) of the selector shaft with special tool 2 355 850 (3) downwards.
- Remove the special tool 2 355 850
(2).
» The parking lock is locked.
Follow-up work
- Install rear UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
