Unlock the parking lock electronically (GA8HP50Z, GA8HP51Z, GA8HP75Z, GA8HP76Z, GA8HP75HZ, GA8HP95Z)

Preliminary work

Remove rear UNDERBODY PROTECTION .

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Conditions in which an electronic emergency gearbox release is impaired or unavailable:
The vehicle is positioned on an incline (tensions in the drivetrain).
At very high or low transmission oil temperature (modified viscosity).

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Electronic emergency gearbox release: Service personnel
Only specially trained service personnel are permitted to operate both the mechanical as well as the electronic emergency gearbox release.
The vehicle must be raised and the underbody planking disassembled in order to operate the mechanical transmission emergency release.

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Electronic emergency gearbox release: Fault code entry
To operate the electronic emergency gearbox release the vehicle must not be towed but rather only maneuvered.
In the case of misuse, a corresponding fault is entered in the fault memory.

Switch on ignition.
Actuate the brake pedal and hold it during the entire process.

Press the start/stop button and hold it during the entire process.

Press the release button on the electronic selector lever.

Hold the release button, move the selector lever into position N and hold there until position N lights up.

Note the Check Control message in the instrument cluster.
The message appears as soon as the Neutral N gear in the transmission has been engaged.

The parking lock is now electronically unlocked.

After successfully unlocking the parking lock, release the start/stop button, selector lever and release button.
