Remove the BDC control unit

Preliminary works 

• Deactivate the 48 v ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
• Disconnect all battery EARTH LEADS .
• Remove the right footwell TRIM .
• Remove front entrance COVER STRIP .
• Remove the right-hand a-pillar footwell side TRIM PANEL .

• Fold the carpet (1) to the side.
• Loosen screw (2) on the cover (3).

• Loosen the latch mechanisms (1).
• Guide cover (2) out in direction of arrow.

• Unlock and disconnect all connectors (1).
• Swivel the BDC control unit (2) slightly in the direction of the arrow.

• Unlock and disconnect all connectors (1).

• Guide out the BDC control unit (1).

• Unlock and disconnect the connector of the positive battery cable (3) on the BDC control unit (4).

  It is essential to observe the sequence: 

  1. Loosen lock (1) in direction of arrow.
  2. Disengage the latch mechanism (2) on positive battery cable connector (3).
  3. Remove the connector of the positive battery cable (3) in direction of arrow.
