Bond the templates for door seals on the inner door panel
NOTE:
Schematic diagram is for example purposes. Some parts may differ in certain details.
- Clean the bonding surfaces on the inner door panel with adhesive remover (see the applicable BMW Parts Catalog).
- If applicable, remove the precut apertures (1) from the templates (2) for bolts, rear reflectors, etc.
- Apply the templates to the inner door panel.
- Prior to bonding, align the template (3) across from the inner door panel (1).
- The contact edge of the template and the cutting edge of the door lock (4) are congruent.
- The marks on the template and the bending radius of the inner door panel (2) are congruent.
- The marks and/or apertures (5) of the template are aligned with the respective bore hole, screw connection, rear reflector, etc.
After bonding, the cutting edge of the template is aligned flush with the projected contact edge of the inner door panel (6).
- If necessary, repeat the operation above for additional templates (1).
