Removing the protective cap of the exterior mirror

NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

Preliminary works

Remove the mirror GLASS .

Spread and release the latch mechanisms (1) of the protective cap on the exterior mirror.

Remove the protective cap (1) in the direction of the arrow.
Disconnect associated plug connection.
