Removing the 12 V power socket from the storage compartment in the center console

Preliminary works 

• Remove the center armrest STORAGE COMPARTMENT .

• Rotate the head of special tool (1) to the left until the marks (arrows) face each other.
• Carefully insert special tool (1) into the 12 V power socket (3).
• If necessary, rotate special tool (1) carefully to the left until recesses (2) of special tool (1) are fixed in contacts (4) of 12 V power socket (3).
• Turn the head of the special tool (1) to the right until the special tool locks in the 12 V power socket (3).

• Pull special tool 0 496 588 (61 0 250)  out of the storage compartment in the center console with the 12 V power socket in the direction of the arrow.
• Feed out the corresponding plug connection and disconnect.
• Remove the 12 V power socket.
