Disconnecting the battery earth lead for the active steering

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Disconnect and connect the battery at the battery terminals only Do not disconnect at the connectors!

Loosen screws (1).
Remove the retaining brackets (2).
Remove separating element (3) towards the top and put to one side.

Remove foam insert (1) of the separating element towards the top.
Slide auxiliary battery (2) with accompanying foam insert to right.

Version after 07/2016: If necessary release clips (1) and remove cover (2).
The cover is (2) optionally installed.

Open the protective cap (1).
Loosen the screw on the battery earth lead (2).
Put the battery earth lead (2) to one side and secure it.
