Remove the crash-active restraint for the front seat

- All work on pyrotechnic parts may be carried out by technically experienced and appropriately trained personnel only.
- Replace any damaged part or ones that have been dropped.

NOTE:
Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
Preliminary works
- Deactivate the 48 v ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
- Disconnect all battery EARTH LEADS .
- Remove the front seat rear panel top rear PANEL .
- Loosen screw (1).
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION The drivetrain for the head restraint height adjustment must be replaced as soon as the head restraint is removed.
- Spread clamps (2) slightly In direction of arrow and remove crash-active head restraint (3) from drive (4) for head restraint height adjustment.
- Feed out the crash-active head restraint (1) and cable (2) from the backrest towards the top.
