Replace both air filter inserts

Preliminary work 

• Refer to REMOVING THE ACOUSTIC COVER .

Remove both air filter inserts 

Prerequisite 

Ignition is switched off.

• Unfasten clamp (1).
• Unlock connector (2) and detach from hot film air mass meter.
• Loosen screws (3).
• Remove right upper section of intake filter housing.

• Unfasten clamp (1).
• Unlock connector (2) and detach from hot film air mass meter.
• Loosen screws (3).
• Remove left upper section of intake filter housing.

• Remove both air filter inserts (1).

Install both air filter inserts 

• Clean inside of lower section of intake filter housing (1).

• Install both air filter inserts (1).

• Install the upper section of intake filter housing, left.
• Tighten down screws (3).
  TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
  
  

  Intake filter housing upper section to intake filter housing lower section
  Self-tapping bolt	Tightening torque	3.5 Nm

• Tighten clamp (1).
  TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
  
  

  Clean air pipe to upper section of intake filter housing
  cl.	Tightening torque	3 Nm

• Plug the connector (2) into the hot film air mass meter and lock it.
• Install the upper section of intake filter housing, right.
• Tighten down screws (3).
  TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
  
  

  Intake filter housing upper section to intake filter housing lower section
  Self-tapping bolt	Tightening torque	3.5 Nm

• Tighten clamp (1).
  TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
  
  

  Clean air pipe to upper section of intake filter housing
  cl.	Tightening torque	3 Nm

• Plug the connector (2) into the hot film air mass meter and lock it.
