Removing the gasoline particulate filter

Preliminary work
- Remove the tunnel connecting SUPPORT .
WARNING:

- Perform all work only on components that have cooled down.
CAUTION:
Heavy component.

- Remove and install heavy components with the aid of another person/other persons.

Shavings resulting from sawing or grinding components.

- Conduct all work in appropriate personal protective equipment only.
- Wear safety goggles and hand protection.
NOTE:
RISK OF DAMAGE. Damage to the gasoline particulate filter. Forcibly removing, installing or dropping the gasoline particulate filter down will damage it.
- Remove and install the gasoline particulate filter without damaging it and without applying external force.
- Avoid impacts/knocks to the gasoline particulate filter (e.g. by tools, falling down, hard contact with base).
- If the separation point is not identified by a punch mark in the pipe, determine the separation point by the length of the pipe on the new gasoline particulate filter (1).
- Mark the separation point on the component being replaced.
- Secure the gasoline particulate filter (1) and the rear silencer against falling.
- Cut through the component to be replaced at the marked point with a suitable tool.
- Version with ribbon clamp:
Release the ribbon clamp (1).
- Version with V ribbon clip:
Unfasten clamp (1).
- Unfasten nut (1).
- Thread out and remove the gasoline particulate filter (1) with the help of a support person.
