Check the components of the steering

Check 

• Shift the steering wheel in both directions while checking for play.

Desired state 

• There is no play between the tie rod joint (1) and tie rod arm (2).

Result 

» There is play.

Measure

• Eliminate possible defects for a separate charge after discussion with the customer.

Check 

• Check Bellows and sleeves for damage (e.g. cracks and holes) and tightness.
• Check bellows for missing retaining straps.

Result 

» Damage or leaks.

Measure

• Eliminate possible defects for a separate charge after discussion with the customer.

Follow-up work 

• Add the coolant level and check the COOLANT COMPOSITION .
• Check engine compartment from above for LEAKS .
• Top off the washer fluid for the WASHER SYSTEM .
• Check the TIRE SETTINGS in the CID (only in versions with a tire pressure monitor SA2VB).
• Perform the CBS RESET .
• Check for traffic safety and performing TEST DRIVE .
