- Perform all work only on components that have cooled down.

- Note component's center of gravity.
- Support component using a jack.
- Secure component against falling off the jack.

- Remove and install heavy components with the aid of another person/other persons.

Shavings resulting from sawing or grinding components.

- Conduct all work in appropriate personal protective equipment only.
- Wear safety goggles and hand protection.
- If the separation point is not marked by the grain in the pipe: Determine the separation point by the length of the pipe on the new component.
- Mark the separation point on the component being replaceed.
- Cut through the component to be replaced at the marked point with a suitable tool.
- Unlock and loosen connector (1).
- Loosen nuts (2).
- Guide out the rear silencer (3) with a second person and remove.
