Installing the gasoline particulate filter or bottom catalytic converter for cylinders 5 through 8
NOTE:

Damage to the gasoline particulate filter.
Forcibly removing, installing or dropping the gasoline particulate filter down will damage it.

- Remove and install the gasoline particulate filter without damaging it and without applying external force.
- Avoid impacts/knocks to the gasoline particulate filter (e.g. by tools, falling down, hard contact with base).

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
After exchanging the gasoline particulate filter, and before delivering the vehicle to the customer, the registration of the gasoline particulate filter must be carried out!

- Replace seal (1).
Parts: Gasket
- Position the seal (1) on the gasoline particulate filter or bottom catalytic converter near engine (2).
- Guide in and position the gasoline particulate filter or bottom catalytic converter near engine (2).
- Attach the gasoline particulate filter or bottom catalytic converter near engine (1) to the lug (2) and secure it against falling down.
- Replace nuts (1).

- Join the nuts (1) on the gasoline particulate filter or bottom catalytic converter near engine (2).
Tightening torques
Gasoline particulate filter or catalytic converter near engine to the bottom of catalytic converter, snug torque Nut M8 Tightening torque 17 Nm - Join the screws (1) on the gasoline particulate filter or bottom catalytic converter near engine (2).
Tightening torques
Gasoline particulate filter or catalytic converter near engine to the bottom of the transmission, snug torque M8x20 screw Tightening torque 8 Nm - Tighten the nuts (1) on the gasoline particulate filter or bottom catalytic converter near engine (2).
Tightening torques
Gasoline particulate filter or catalytic converter near engine to the bottom of the catalytic converter, tightening torque Nut M8 Tightening torque 28 Nm - Tighten the screws (1) on the gasoline particulate filter or bottom catalytic converter near engine (2).
Tightening torques
Gasoline particulate filter or catalytic converter near engine to the bottom of the transmission, tightening torque M8x20 screw Tightening torque 19 Nm - Install heat shield (2).
- Tighten nuts (1).

Heat shield at tunnel Nut Tightening torque 2.5 Nm
