Damage to the gasoline particulate filter.
Forcibly removing, installing or dropping the gasoline particulate filter down will damage it.

- Remove and install the gasoline particulate filter without damaging it and without applying external force.
- Avoid impacts/knocks to the gasoline particulate filter (e.g. by tools, falling down, hard contact with base).

After exchanging the gasoline particulate filter, and before delivering the vehicle to the customer, the registration of the gasoline particulate filter must be carried out!

- Remove and install heavy components with the aid of another person/other persons.

Shavings resulting from sawing or grinding components.

- Conduct all work in appropriate personal protective equipment only.
- Wear safety goggles and hand protection.
- If the separation point is not marked by a punch mark in the pipe, then determine the separation point by means of the length of the pipe on the new gasoline particulate filter (2).
- Mark the separation point on the component being replaceed.
- Secure the gasoline particulate filter and the center silencer (1) to prevent them from falling down.
- Cut through the exhaust pipe in the area of the marked point with a suitable tool.
Only cut through an exhaust pipe!
- Loosen union nut (1).
- Release nuts (1).
- Loosen the nuts (1).
- Remove the cross-member (2).
- Guide out and remove the gasoline particulate filter.
