11 15 140 Replacing the oil separator at cylinders 1 - 4 (N63O2) (M550i xDrive, 2018-2019)

Preliminary work needed:

REMOVE CYLINDER HEAD COVER

Removal:

Release screws in the sequence 5 - 1.

Remove the oil separator (6) including channel (7).

Release screws in the sequence 4 - 1 .

Remove power distribution box (5).

Installation:

NOTE: Make sure the gasket (1) is correctly installed at the power distribution box (2).

IMPORTANT: Risk of damage!
All motor oil and contamination must be removed from all threaded holes.
Compliance with torque specifications for screw connections is mandatory!

Install the power distribution box (5).

Parts : Replace screws.

Tighten screws in the sequence 1 - 4 .

Oil separator to cylinder head cover
M6 Replace screws	Tightening torque	10 Nm

Cylinder head cover to cylinder head
M6x30 screw	Tightening torque	10 Nm

NOTE: Make sure the gasket (1) is correctly installed between the oil separator (2) and the channel (3).

Install the oil separator (6) including channel (7).

Parts : Replace screws.

Tighten screws in the sequence 1 - 5 .

Oil separator to cylinder head cover
M6 Replace screws	Tightening torque	10 Nm

Cylinder head cover to cylinder head
M6x30 screw	Tightening torque	10 Nm

Parts : Replace gaskets (1).

Make sure the gasket (1) is installed correctly.

Required follow-up work:

INSTALL CYLINDER HEAD COVER
