For full-flow oil filter replacements: Remount oil-to-water heat exchanger

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Make sure that there are no particles or impurities in the medium openings. Coolant or foreign substances in the oil can cause engine damage such as damage to the connecting rod bearing.

The sealing surfaces must be free of oil, grease and cleaning agents.

Remove the oil coolant heat exchanger (full-flow oil filter removed)
- Unscrew all bolts (arrows) from the oil coolant heat exchanger (1).
- Remove the oil coolant heat exchanger (1) from the full-flow oil filter.
Install the oil coolant heat exchanger (full-flow oil filter removed)
- Replace gaskets (1), (2) and (3).

Damage to the surface.
The use of metal-cutting tools (e.g., emery cloths) for cleaning surfaces can damage them and lead to leaks and/or engine damage.- Do not use any metal-cutting tools.
- Clean sealing surface (1).
- Position the oil coolant heat exchanger (1) on the full-flow oil filter.
- Tighten all bolts (arrows) on the oil coolant heat exchanger (1). TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Oil-to-water heat exchanger to full-flow oil filter Tightening torque 10 Nm
