Removing the radial shaft sealing ring for the torque converter (GA8HP75Z, GA8HP76Z, GA8HP95Z)
Preliminary work
- Deactivate the 48 v ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
- Disconnect all battery GROUND LEADS .
- Remove the transmission side UNDERBODY PLANKING
- Remove rear UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
- Remove the UNDERBODY PROTECTION of the steering gear and thrust field respectively.
- Remove the STIFFENING PLATE .
- Remove the tunnel connecting SUPPORT .
- If installed: remove the right and left TORSION STRUT where required.
- Remove the HEAT SHIELDS .
- Remove the RETAINING PLATES
- Release the front axle transmission front PROP SHAFT .
- Partially loosen the PROP SHAFT
- Remove AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION (all-wheel drive vehicle) (GA8HP75Z).
- Remove TORQUE CONVERTER .

- Use only the approved TRANSMISSION OIL .
- Check the transmission OIL LEVEL after completing the repair.
- Fasten the transmission with the special tools 0 495 446 (24 0 200)
and 2 449 398
on the assembly stand 0 495 187 (00 2 300)
.
- Pull out radial shaft seal (1) with special tools 0 496 716 (24 1 420) and 0 493 321 (13 5 250) .
