Replacing the coarse thread bolts and threaded weld bolts, surface steel 

• Take the number and position from the component to be replaced or the installed parts.
• replace the coarse thread bolt (1) and the threaded weld bolt (2).

  Parts:  Coarse thread bolt (1), threaded weld bolt (2)

• Weld the coarse thread bolt (1) and threaded weld bolt (2) onto the new part.

  Check ground pins and replace if necessary 

  NOTE: Schematic diagram is for example purposes. Some parts may differ in certain details.
• Check the ground pins (1) for stability and replace if necessary.

• Adjust the luggage compartment floor and secure.
• Prepare area (1) for joining by welding.
• Prepare the joints in areas (2) and (3) using the bond-and-rivet method.
• Transfer the holes resulting from the removal in areas (2) and (3) to the new part. Drill out holes to dia. 6.8 mm.

• Prepare the new part in area (1) for joining by welding.

• Prepare for joining by welding in areas (1) and (2). Make sure that there is a sufficient distance to the adhesive area (3). In area (2), observe the procedure for the replacement of spot-welded adhesive joints from standard production.
• Prepare area (3) for joining using the rivet-and-bonding method.
• Apply the existing holes in the side member onto the new part in area (3). Drill holes to dia. 6.8 mm.
• Remove new component. Deburr bores.
