Remove electric heater
NOTE:
DANGER High-voltage system. The high-voltage system operates on the basis of hazardous, electrical voltage and high currents. Mortal hazard through electric shock!

Preliminary work
- Remove right flap in luggage compartment TRIM PANEL .
- DE-ENERGIZE the high-voltage system.
- CHECK that no voltage is applied.
- Disconnect all battery GROUND LEADS .
- Remove THRUST FIELD .
- Remove rear UNDERBODY PROTECTION .

- Loosen screw (1).
- Guide out and remove holder (2).
- Loosen screws (1).
- Feed the high-voltage connector (2) out and set it aside.
- Loosen screws (1).
- Guide out and remove holder (2).
- Unlock and disconnect plug connections (1).
- Unclip the high-voltage cables (1) from the electric heater (2) at the marked points (3).
- Unclip the high-voltage cable (1) from the electric heater (2) at the marked points (3).NOTE: DANGER
Potential equalization in high-voltage system.
Mortal hazard if the potential equalization screw connection is not correct!- Observe the safety requirements for the potential equalization screw connection.
- Clean contact faces and have then checked by a second person.
- Tighten the screws/nuts for potential equalization with torque; have a second person check the torque.
- Correct execution of these tasks must be documented in the vehicle records by both persons.
- Release the nut (1) and remove the potential equalization line.
- Unlock plug connection (2) and disconnect.
- Unclip the high-voltage cable (3) from the electric heater.
- Loosen screw (1).
- Loosen nut (2).
- Lift electric heater (1) out of the ball head (2) and feed out downwards.
