Removing the electric vacuum pump

NOTE: DANGER High-voltage system. The high-voltage system operates on the basis of hazardous, electrical voltage and high currents. Mortal hazard through electric shock!

All work on the high-voltage system may only be carried out by specially trained and technically experienced personnel.

Preliminary work

Remove the WHEEL .
Remove the right front side UNDERSHIELD .

WARNING: Vehicle may slip off the vehicle hoist if the vehicle hoist is handled incorrectly.
Danger! Immobilization period-threatening injuries!

Observe safety instructions on raising the vehicle using a vehicle hoist.

Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Unlock and detach snap fastener (2).
Detach the vacuum line from the holders (3).

Release the screws (1) and lower the electrical vacuum pump (2).

Detach the vent hose (1) in the direction of the arrow.

Remove the electrical vacuum pump (1) from the holder in the direction of the arrow.

NOTE: The retaining ring may not be removed from the holder!
