Preliminary work
- Disconnect all BATTERY GROUND LEADS .
- Remove right BACKREST SIDE SECTION .
- Remove the rear luggage compartment FLOOR COVERING .
- Remove luggage compartment FLOOR COVERING .
- Remove the loading EDGE TRIM .
- Remove right luggage compartment wheel arch TRIM PANEL .

- Leave the electrical components In their original packaging until they are being Installed. Only use the original packaging for returning the product. Always package removed components straight away.
- Read and comply with user Information on using the associated special tool 12 7 060.
- Only tap the housings of electrical components. Do not tap pins or multi-pin connectors directly.
- Wear electrically conductive clothing and antistatic shoes (with ESD symbol).

After the expansion or exchange of the ride height sensor or of the attachment rod of the ride height sensor and after the replacement of the control unit for the vertical dynamic platform (VDP), a ride height ADJUSTMENT must always be carried out.
