Remove B-Pillar With Reinforcement
- Make the separating cut (1) to dimension.
Dimension (a) = 75 mm from the center of the hinge mount.
- Cut through B-pillar completely. Do not damage the inner side member in doing so.
- Mark and perform the separating cuts in accordance with the specified dimensions.
Thereby disconnect only the outer panel.
Dimension (a) = 40 mm from the center of the mounting.
Dimension (b) = 400 mm from dimension a.
Dimension (c) = 15 mm from the component edge of the roof frame.
- Start the separating cut (1) as shown and completely cut through the B-pillar.
- Open the welded connections in the areas (2) and remove the section (3).
- Mark the separating cuts (1) according to the schematic diagram and carry out the cuts.
- Release welded connections in areas (2).
- Detach the section of the B-pillar reinforcement (3).
- Open the welded connections in area (1) and remove the B-pillar section (2).
- Mark and cut the separating cuts (1) and (2) according to the specified dimensions.
Thereby disconnect only the outer panel.
Dimension (a) = 60 mm from the center point of the hole ø 20 mm.
Dimension (b) = 50 mm from the center point of the hole ø 20 mm.
- Release welded connections in areas (1).
- Undo and remove the door sill partial section from the cavity sealings (2).
- Remove the cavity sealing (1).
- Release welded connections in areas (2).
- Remove the B-pillar reinforcement partial section.
- Release welded connections in areas (1).
- Remove the partial sections (2).
