- Clean the bonding surface completely.
- Begin bonding the gasket (1) at the mark for the sealing joint (3).
- Bond the gasket (1) in sections and flush with the roof outer skin (2).
Bond the gasket (1) without expansion (slightly compressed).
Only lightly press on the gasket (1) to correct the position if required.
Establish a gap-free sealing joint.
- Check the gasket (1) is positioned correctly and if applicable, correct the position.
- Press the gasket (1) onto the roof outer skin using the special tool 0 495 505 (51 0 300).
- Apply additional pressure to the corners of the gasket (1).
