Remove the gate pair for the glass slide/tilt sunroof

- Leave electrical components in original packaging until just before they are installed. Use the original packaging only for any return shipments. Always package removed components straight away.

- Only touch the housings of electrical components. Do not touch pins or multi-pin connectors directly.

- Remove the roof FUNCTION CENTER (FZD).
- Remove the glass slide/tilt SUNROOF GAITER .
- Remove glass slide/tilt SUNROOF PANEL .

Initiate manual movements of guide element via the drives using an offset hexagon socket key.

Make sure that water channel is pushed back as well. If necessary, secure the water channel with a cord so that it can be pulled out again later.

- Lever out the limit position (2) towards the outside.
- Move the gate (1) up to the recess (2).
- Hold down the lever (1).
- Move the gate (2)
until it is positioned in the vent position.
- Lever out the control lever (1) from the guide rail and fold it forwards.
- Remove the control lever from the gate.
- Hold lid gate (1) at bolt (see arrow).
- Move the drive carriage (2)
backwards until it is possible to remove the lid gate (1) from the drive carriage (2).
- Reposition the lid gate (1) and remove it from the gate.
