Removing The Front Door
WARNING:
Working on 12 V vehicle electrical system.

- Make sure that no charger is connected to the jump start support point in the engine compartment.
- Detach battery earth lead from battery.
- With auxiliary batteries: Detach all battery earth leads from additional batteries.
NOTE:
Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
Preliminary work
- Refer to DEACTIVATING THE 48 V ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
- Refer to DISCONNECTING ALL BATTERY EARTH LEADS .
- Open door.
- Loosen screws (1) between both hinge elements at top and bottom.
- Pull up the lock (1) and disconnect the plug connection.

- Mask those working areas at risk with yellow plastic adhesive tape.
- Remove and install heavy or bulky components with the aid of another person/other persons.
- Secure door against closing.
- Loosen screw (2) at door stop.
- Detach door in upward direction and set down on a suitable surface.
