Remove Tailgate

Preliminary work 

• Refer to REMOVE THE TAILGATE LIFT SWITCH .
• Refer to REMOVE TAILGATE TRIM PANEL .
• Refer to REMOVE TAILGATE PUSH BUTTON .
• Refer to REMOVING THE TWO TRIMS ON THE REAR LIGHT
• Refer to REMOVE BOTH REAR LIGHTS FROM THE TAILGATE .
• Refer to REMOVING BOTH STOP PADS .
• Refer to REMOVE STRIKER FOR TAILGATE CATCH .

• Unlock and disconnect the plug connections (arrows) of the wiring harness (1).

• Loosen harness (1) at the marked locations and set it aside.

• Loosen screws (1).
• Remove tailgate (2).
