SITUATION
Selecting one of the saved seat positions (via the memory seat position switch on the door panel), fails to work.
A saved seat position cannot be retrieved.
The memory function works again after a terminal change or backrest width adjustment.
NOTE:
Manual seat adjustment using the button for forward/back seat adjustment still works.
CAUSE
Software error in the seat module.
CORRECTION
No permanent solution is currently available.
A final software solution is expected to be available as of November 2018 with ISTA 4.14.1x (S51A18-11-500).
PROCEDURE
For conditions that are similar to the situation described:
- Perform diagnosis with the latest version of ISTA, working through test module, if needed.
- If no other fault can be found, and if the fault is not permanently present, do nothing at this time.
- Inform the customer that, until the final solution is available, the fault can be temporarily rectified by a terminal change or by briefly activating the backrest width adjustment.
NOTE:
This bulletin will be revised as soon as further information is available.
