TECHNICAL INFORMATION
To guarantee the quality of the driver assistance functions in vehicles with concealed radar sensors installed, the component may only be repainted by observing the repair specifications described in the service information "Standards for REPAIR painting with sensor systems".
No stickers or foils (transparent or colored) may be attached in the radiation areas of the radar sensors.
The component may be painted if no radar sensors have been installed.
The following features can be used to identify whether radar sensors are installed on the vehicle:
Radar sensors are installed at the rear if the triangular warning light is located on the exterior mirror (in the mirror glass or on the mirror frame).
Radar sensors are installed at the front and rear if the triangular warning light is located on the exterior mirror (in the mirror glass or on the mirror frame) in conjunction with the optional equipment S5ATA or S5AUA.

Preliminary works
- Remove front ORNAMENTAL GRILLE .
- Partially remove the front section of the front wheel ARCH COVER

- Loosen screws (1).

- Loosen screws (1).
- Unlock plug connection (1) on the right and disconnect.
- Detach the plug (1) from holder (2).
- Unlock and disconnect the hose for the headlight cleaning system.
- Place the hose to the top and fix.
This will prevent washer fluid from exiting.
- Undo the bumper panel (1) in the area of the active air-flap control (2) from the mountings.
- Slightly pull the bumper panel (1) towards the front and if necessary, unlock and disconnect additional plug connections.
- Remove bumper panel (1) towards front.
