EMERGENCY AXLE RELEASE TOOL
BMW P/N: 83 30 5 A7F D24
BMW Price: $291
Model(s): All models with drive axles secured with a bolt.
Application: For emergency release of the automatic transmission via wheel hub.
In the current series of vehicles, there is no option of performing an automatic transmission emergency release. In this case, a new special tool is required that can be used to temporarily separate the connection between the wheel and the output shaft so that the vehicle can be pushed/rolled for a short time (e.g. vehicle transfer on/off a recovery vehicle, in/out of the workshop).
