Installing the steering shaft seal

• Position the steering shaft seal (1).

  Tighten the nuts (arrows).

  TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
  
  

  Bearing plate to firewall
  M6	Tightening torque	8 Nm

• If installed: 

  Position the cover of the steering shaft seal (3).

  Tighten down screw (1).

  Tighten nut (2).

Follow-up work 

• Install the bottom steering shaft UNIVERSAL JOINT .
• Install the THRUST FIELD .
• Install rear UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
• Check the steering wheel STRAIGHT-AHEAD DRIVING POSITION .
• CHECK the airbag for function.
