Notes on charging the 12V battery/high-voltage battery in display vehicles (new and used cars) (530e PHEV 2018-2022, 530e xDrive PHEV 2018-2022)

IMPORTANT: Experience has shown that failure to comply with the following points will damage batteries in the vehicle and they must be replaced consequently.

This bears significant costs!

  1. Charging interval 
    IMPORTANT: In stationary vehicles, the 12V batteries must be recharged every 6 weeks at the latest.
    In stationary vehicles, the charging requirement of the high-voltage battery must be checked every 6 weeks!
  2. Charging the 12V batteries/high-voltage battery on display vehicles:
    NOTE: When charging the high-voltage battery by means of the charging cable, the 12V batteries will be automatically charged as well.

Note for charging the 12V batteries:
(1) To ensure that all 12V batteries can be charged, the charging procedure must be started via the jump start terminals within 3 minutes of opening the hood.

Procedure in the case of a longer immobilization period of the vehicle when being operated by the customer
