Removing Damaged Self-Tapping Screws

Prerequisite

Sealant has been removed from the screw head.

NOTE: Schematic diagram is for example purposes. Some parts may differ in certain details.

Position the chisel (1) on the side of the screw head.
Loosen the screw (2) by hitting it with a hammer.
Repeat the process until the screw (2) has turned by approximately 90°.
