Remove Tailgate

Preliminary work

Refer to REMOVE THE TAILGATE LIFT SWITCH .
Refer to REMOVE TAILGATE TRIM PANEL .

Unlock and disconnect the plug connections (arrows) of the wiring harness (1).

Loosen harness (1) at the marked locations and set it aside.

NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE
Mechanical effects.
Paint damage.

Mask those working areas at risk with yellow plastic adhesive tape.
Remove and install heavy or bulky components with the aid of another person/other persons.

Loosen screws (1).
Remove tailgate (2).
