- Open the bonded rivet connections in the areas (1) and remove the connecting plate (2).
- Remove adhesive residue on the bonding surface (1) of the shock tower. Do not damage the shock tower!
- Prepare the areas (1) for structural adhesive bonding of aluminum on aluminum.
- Remove adhesive residue from all other bonding surfaces.
- Seal the hole (1) by MAG weld.
- Drill out holes (2) to dia. 6.8 mm.
- Adjust new parts with an alignment bracket or a universal fixture and secure.
- Prepare the reinforcement (1) in the area (2) for joining by welding.
- Prepare areas (1) to (4) for structural adhesive bonding of steel on steel and of steel on aluminum.
- In the areas (1) and (2), drill out holes to Ø 6.8 mm and transfer them to the new part.
- In the area (3), transfer holes to both the new parts. Drill out holes to dia. 6.8 mm.
- In the area (4), drill holes to Ø 6.8 mm. Select the number and position according to the self-tapping screws of the series.
- Prepare the areas (1) for structural adhesive bonding of steel on aluminum.
- In the areas (1), drill out holes of Ø 6.8 mm and transfer them to the new part.
- Prepare areas (1) and (2) for structural adhesive bonding of aluminum on aluminum.
- In the areas (1) and (2), drill out holes to Ø 6.8 mm and transfer them to the new part.
- Prepare area (1) for structural adhesive bonding of steel to aluminum.
- In the areas (1), drill out holes of Ø 6.8 mm and transfer them to the new part.
